Party Rock Tour: I'm In LA Bitch

There was an emergency situation when we rolled into Hollywood: we needed Roscoe’s chicken ‘n waffles. Foo, bikini girl Nikole, our Party Rock Crew assistant Dre a.k.a. Promise and I started the day off right with some of the legendary waffles and grits. Foo and Promise had a meaningful discussion: does “naw yeah” really mean “yeah?” Yes, it does.
After we stocked up on some Roscoe’s t-shirts, we went to the Hollywood Palladium for sound check. A bus decorating company got to work on personalizing our Party Rock Tour bus, which is now officially the coolest tour bus of all time.
On the way to the Coffee Bean, we ran into a huge line of excited LMFAO fans outside the Palladium. They lined up almost four hours prior to show time.
Nikole and I took on the daring feat of trekking across half of Hollywood to find Snuggies for ourselves and the rest of the Party Rock Crew. It took stops at five places before we hit the jackpot at Bed Bath and Beyond on Hollywood Boulevard (on the way, we ran into Michael Jackson’s star). I’m proud to say that Foo, Sky, Pete, Q, Nikole and I all now have incredibly stylish leopard, pink and blue Snuggies to rock on the bus.
The green room was absolute insanity up until show time. Foo and Sky’s family showed, as well as people from Amp Radio and tons of friends. Foo’s mom brought three trays of Jello shots, which we easily demolished within an hour.
The show itself was killer. It was sold out and packed with fist-pumping fans. Eric D-Lux joined the boys onstage for "Shots."
After the show, we hauled it to MyHouse for the LMFAO afterparty. The boys performed “Shots” and “La La La” before Foo brought the microphone over to Shwayze and Cisco to do “Get U Home.”
We attempted to create an after-afterparty at Bossa Nova (which LMFAO pays tribute to in “I’m In LA Bitch”), but after we had to stand outside in the freezing cold, we decided to go to Aroma Café. We had a delicious, couple hour-long feast before heading back to Foo and Sky’s house to go to sleep.
After just a few hours of rest, it was time to get up and ready for the road. Foo dressed DJ Hollywood Hype and Promise in his Party Rock gear, so they now officially look like they’re part of the crew. Foo, Melinda, the Party Rock accessories designer, and Daniel, the Party Rock merch coordinator with us, also stocked us up on essentials from the Party Rock office (make sure to check out our hot duds in future blog photos).
Some of us went to grab some food and turned around to find Foo in the middle of a heated chess match with a guy outside Starbucks. Unfortunately, he lost, but he put up a good fight. For those of you that didn’t know, Foo is a chess expert.
We’re back on the bus, ready for our 19-hour drive to Portland, Oregon. We’re in snuggies, watching football, trading stories and preparing for what can only turn out to be yet another epic adventure.
